Curated Exhibitions
2007
“Breaking the White Light”, Platform, New York, NY Presenting non-representational work with an emphasis on analytical processes.

Pratt M.F.A, CAA Exhibition, Hunter College, New York, NY I was asked to curate the Pratt MFA exhibition at Hunter College during the 2007 College Art Association Conference. This exhibition included work from graduate programs in the tri-state area. I conducted studio visits with the graduating MFA students at Pratt and curated a show in attempts to allow the viewer to see what is happening at Pratt’s MFA program.

2006
“Making the Timeless Now”, Broadway Gallery, New York, NY This show consists of work that demonstrates some of the contingent points between painting, installations and sculpture.

2005
“Art on the Line”, Janet Kurnatowski Gallery, Brooklyn, NY Here I curated a show with work by artists that emphasize the use of line within their work. The title also had a double meaning, in that it was a response to P.S.1’s “Greater New York” show.

2003
“Merge-A Ministry of Now Exhibition”, Landing Space, Brooklyn, NY This was a large group show consisting of work by painters, graphic artists, photographers and video artists.

2002
“3X3”, H. Lewis Gallery, Baltimore, MD I had selected a group of painters where, if you lined their work up, you would see a lineage of work from a painterly abstraction to a tight representation. Each artist created a 3-foot x 3-foot painting to illustrate this lineage for the gallery.

2001
“Inception”, H. Lewis Gallery, Baltimore, MD “Inception” was a group show exhibiting the work made by professional and amateur skateboarders. This was to bring to the viewing audience at the Maryland Institute College of Art, work made by their peers that had chosen another profession other than that of art and art school but a creative one no less.
